QT- With Thanksgiving coming up I decided to do my qt on 1 Corinthians 1:4-5. I am thankful for my family, friends, shelter, food, the clothing on my back and most importantly, I am thankful for being able to know Christ and having him in my life.

QT- I sometimes get lazy and don't do what I am told to do. But as I get older, I try to have the mindset of the I am third mentality. Whether its cleaning up after someone or doing a favor for someone, at the end your helping your brothers and sisters in Christ's view.

Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up
according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

I try to work towards this. Sometimes a curse can slip out or some gossip around school can leak and ends up hurting someone. I pray that in the future that the words that I speak can help others with their problems or situations.

My QT today was about how I need to do my actions through God, so even its studying for a test or hanging around with friends in the end, everything you receive is what God wants to provide for you.

Isaiah 58:11

My spiritual walk with God can sometimes go off stray with school, friends, and work. So, I pray that I would be able to follow the Lord's guidance even when distractions makes me wander away from God and I pray that my Lord will give me strength to persevere.

Well school is getting back into things, and while senior year might be a breeze, other things are my mind from my relationship with God from learning how to be a good son to him. As I remember back to the retreat, I keep the line that Pastor Joe Ferrante had said "You can do nothing to make God love you more or less." So I keep this saying in the back of mind just trying to live life wtih God. And for my fellow brother Andy, I hope this verse help build back your faith in God.

Psalm 127:1

Unless the LORD builds the house,
its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.
Families establish homes and watchmen guard cities, but both of these activities are futile unless God is with them. A family without God can never experience the spiritual bond God brings to relationships. A city without God will crumble from evil and corruption on the inside. Don't make the mistake of leaving God out of your life, if you do, all your accomplishments will be futile. Make God your highest priority and let him do the building.

I have been slacking lately with my qts this week and I pray for the motivation and strenght to be with my god. Well for my qt today, I learned that for many people, joy and enthusiasm don't come naturally but they have to work on it. So, whatever task you face, do it enthusiastically, and do it for the Lord.
